What is a Doula?

A Doula is an individual who is trained to support women in pregnancy, labour, birth and postpartum.

Doulas sometimes referred to as birthkeepers provide emotional and physical support with a holistic approach while supplying evidenced-based information and unbiased guidance for the women to make informed decisions on various interventions and birthing options so they can feel confident in their own unique birthing experience.
